FRIENDSHIP
One is not two—
but something more:
a joining of strength
with love.
How do we thrive,
care,
share?
In friendship—
in love—
among daughters and sons,
sisters and brothers,
partners,
and cherished friends.
Loyalty and thoughtfulness,
a quiet awareness—
ever-giving,
ever-receiving—
with wit,
with laughter,
with whispered words.
One is not two—
but a bond that endures,
always there for you.
