Edward A. Silliere Jr. Passed Away on April 25, 2023

May 8, 2023: Edward A. Silliere Jr., 64 of Maplewood passed away suddenly on April 25, 2023 at home.

Edward was born in Bronxville, New York and has lived in Maplewood for 27 years.  Ed worked most recently as a Realtor for Keller Williams Midtown Direct, Maplewood. He previously worked as a commodity broker on the NY Mercantile Exchange. In addition, he was an editor at Dow Jones for many years and wrote articles for the Wall Street Journal.  

He was an active member of his community. He was a current member of the Maplewood Glee Club, Paddle Club, St. Rose of Lima Choir, South Orange Elks & APA Pool League. He was also a former member of Our Lady of Sorrows Choir.

Ed is survived by his beloved wife Kathleen Silliere (McHugh) and his son Paul Gregory. He is also survived by his siblings Suzanne Barry (Robert), Raymond Silliere (Judi), brother in-law Walter Hoppe and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his sister Christine Hoppe.

In lieu of flowers donations to American Heart Association would be appreciated.
