MyhometownBronxville:  Who are we?

We are your neighbors, and there are enough of us for at least one of us to be the friend of at least one of you. Some of us grew up here, and all of us have had children at the Bronxville School.

We, like so many of you, have volunteered our time in the community and care about it deeply. And, like you, we want to know as much as we can about what is happening in our village -- at Village Hall, the schools, the Planning and Zoning Boards, the library, places of worship, in the business district, in the real estate market, at the hospital, and what is currently engaging the service, cultural and political organizations here.

MyhometownBronxville does this by providing the latest news, sports, events and information about Bronxville. We also send themed email blasts around special events and holidays.

MyhometownBronxville is headed by our Editor and Publisher Sarah Thornton Clifford, who grew up in Bronxville, and is a publishing professional. She received her undergraduate degree from Princeton University and earned a master's degree from the Yale School of Management. Sarah then joined Time Inc., where she had a twenty-year career. Eighteen of those years were at Sports Illustrated, which is a publication that brought together two of her interests--sports and publishing. While at Sports Illustrated, Sarah held finance, marketing, and sales roles on both the editorial and the business sides of the magazine. She moved back to Bronxville in 2005 with her husband, Peter, and their three children.

Sarah along with now retired Marcia Lee and an amazing team launched MyhometownBronxville in 2007. That team included local Bronxville residents Jeannie Murrer and Sue Dejoy, who are still our sports writers today, and Neely Bower who is still our photographer. Allaire Warner, who has now retired, was also part of our team for many years.

Today, many community members and organizations contribute to our weekly news.

So here we are. We welcome you all to our virtual pages!
