Jan. 29, 2026, 6:00PM Online: Virtual Information Session: Visual Arts Precollege Program at Sarah Lawrence College. From Drawing to Painting to Experimentation is an intensive, for-credit summer college art program for high school students that will take place at Sarah Lawrence College from July 20 - August 7, 2026. Attend this live virtual information session to learn more about the program, with topics including curriculum, faculty, and student life. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, too! Feb. 5, 2026, 7:00PM: The Friends of the Bronxville Public Library are pleased to sponsor a special evening with local author Steve Landsberg, co-author of PING, a gripping and revelatory story that uncovers the shocking true influence of ping pong on global politics. The author talk will be held in the Yeager Room of the Bronxville Public Library. Feb. 11, 2026, 6:30 - 8:00PM at the Reformed Church Bronxville: "It’s Never Too Late to Heal!": The Counseling Center of Bronxville is hosting a discussion with local author Benjamin Perks at The Reformed Church. Perks has written a book called Trauma Proof that examines the power of parent-child attachment. Perks also focuses on removing stigma, shame and self-blame from trauma.  This talk seeks to help us overcome moments of adversity to create healthy and meaningful relationships. Feb. 26, 2026, 7:30PM: The Bronxville Historical Conservancy Presents The 2026 Brendan Gill Lecture featuring award-winning journalist and author Andrew Ross Sorkin, Reisinger Concert Hall, Sarah Lawrence College.  Tickets will be available starting February 3rd at 9AM on The Bronxville Historical Conservancy website. 

March 3, 2026, 7:00PM: Bronxville Public Library, Free Event: "How Healthy is Your Yard? Simple Steps to Biodiversity & Beauty" Two landscape experts show how with just a few changes you can have a beautiful yard that is beneficial for your family, neighbors, pets and the planet. Featuring Bram Gunther of Plan It Wild and Leslie Needham of Leslie Needham Design. Hosted by the Bronxville Green Committee in partnership with the Bronxville Adult School.  Register HERE!

Bronxville Overview

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.

While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.

Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.

The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
