Homecoming Week Schedule for the 2026 Broncos

Sept. 29, 2026: After the rain and high winds of the nor’easter this past weekend, it looks like the Broncos are having somewhat better weather for Homecoming Week. The traditional sports banners created by each varsity team were displayed on the front lawn late last week, and games and festivities kicked off on Monday. All of Bronxville’s varsity turf teams are scheduled to play under lights, and the week will wrap up on Saturday evening when the varsity football team takes on Valhalla at Chambers Field.
Homecoming week is packed with festivities including Community Food Truck Night on Meadow Avenue, which will take place today from 3:00-8:00PM. The varsity field hockey team will take on Albertus Magnus at 6:00PM. There is also a Community Pep Rally on Saturday during halftime of the varsity girls’ soccer against Rye Neck, which begins at 2:00 PM.

Bronxville Varsity Teams
Football
The Broncos, the defending Class C State Champion, are 2-1 overall and 2-0 in Class C Section 1, with wins over Albertus Magnus (61-0) and Dobbs Ferry (28-0). They will face Valhalla (3-1) on Saturday night at 6:00PM.

Field Hockey
The Broncos are off to a strong start with a 5-2 record, with their only losses losses coming against Lakeland and Yorktown, both ranked among the top ten teams in all of Section 1. The Broncos are currently the No. 1-ranked team in Class C and will face Albertus Magnus on Wednesday at 6:00PM.

Boys’ Soccer
The Class B soccer team is 3-4 on the season and will play Albertus Magnus under lights at on Friday at 6:00 PM.

Girls’ Soccer
Bronxville girls’ soccer is competing in Class A this fall and their record stands at 2-3 so far this season. The Broncos begin a busy and competitive October schedule starting with the Homecoming game on Saturday at 2:00PM against Rye Neck.

Cross Country
Both the Bronxville girls’ and boys’ cross country teams are off to a strong start to the season, with both teams winning at the Bronxville Mega Dual Meet at Van Cortlandt Park. At the Section 1 Conference 3 Extravaganza at Woodlands High School, the girls’ team took first place, while the boys finished in second place just three points behind rival Irvington. The teams will continue to practice during Homecoming week before competing in the Section 1 League Championship on October 13th.

Girls’ Tennis
The tennis team, which has a roster of 25, has had a winning season so far with only two losses. The Broncos will play Rye Neck today at 4:30 on the Village Courts and will have three more matches before the Section 1 Individual Tournament begin on October 10th.

Swimming
The Bronxville-Tuckahoe swim and dive team will face Rye-Blind Brook-Rye Neck on Wednesday at Sarah Lawrence College. There are 23 athletes on the team with just two seniors.

Volleyball
The Bronxville volleyball team is competing in its inaugural season with 24 players on the varsity roster. The Broncos played Woodlands at home yesterday and will travel to Blind Brook for their next match on Thursday.
