Letter to the Community in Support of Mary Marvin, Bill Fredericks, and Bob Underhill

March 11, 2025
To the residents of the Village of Bronxville:
I am following the upcoming election for Village trustees with great interest. Ever since I moved to town in 1998, I have been mystified as to why village leadership is party dependent. I am a registered Democrat but nevertheless have been in full support of Mary Marvin and the other four trustees: Independent, Republican, and Democratic. Having lived in several other communities before Bronxville, I am so grateful for the quality of our village leadership. Bill Fredericks has been a stellar trustee, and frankly, so has Bob Underhill, an Independent who has also been endorsed by the Republican Party. I will be voting for him to continue to contribute to Village leadership going forward.
Vanessa O’Friel has an impressive resume, and I welcome her interest in getting involved in Village leadership. But, simply stated, Bill and Bob have stronger qualifications and experience. No one said this better than their colleagues and fellow Trustees, Mary Taylor Behrens and Helen Knapp. (see their letter in last week’s My Hometown Bronxville)
It seems that Bronxville Dems are looking for change for inexplainable reasons.
