Jan. 15, 2025: On November 5, 2024, the American people elected Donald Trump and JD Vance as the President and Vice President of the United States for the next four years.
The leadup to the election was unusual with Joe Biden stepping down as the democratic nominee for president on July 21, 2024, and Kamala Harris stepping up. Since Harris' loss, some of her backers have criticized Biden for stepping out of the race so late because it gave Harris less than three months to make her case to the American people.
Donald Trump and JD Vance ultimately prevailed, winning both the popular vote and the electoral college vote.
With the Inauguration coming up on January 20, 2025, we thought it would be a good time to share how Bronxville voted in the 2024 Presidential Election.
Below are the election results for the nation, Westchester and Bronxville, and some observations.

Observations About The Bronxville Vote:
1) In the past 100 years, Bronxville has voted for the Democratic candidate over the Republican candidate only four times.
As shown below, in three of these four times (2016, 2020, and 2024), the Democratic candidate that Bronxville supported was running against Donald Trump. In the fourth instance (2008), Bronxville supported Democrat Barack Obama.
2008: Obama/Biden (54% of Bronxville votes cast) vs. McCain/Palin
2016: H. Clinton/Kaine (64% of Bronxville votes cast) vs. Trump/Pence
2020: Biden/Harris (70% of Bronxville votes cast) vs. Trump/Pence
2024: Harris/Walz (66% of Bronxville votes cast) vs. Trump/Vance
2) Bronxville votes cast in favor of Donald Trump remained at about the same number of votes in 2016 and 2020 but increased by 125 votes (11%) from 2020 to 2024.
Bronxville votes for Trump and his running mates are shown below:
2016 Trump/Pence: 1,119
2020 Trump/Pence: 1,117
2024 Trump/Vance: 1,242
