Apr. 15, 2020: One-and-a-half year old Clara is a good-natured calico/domestic shorthair mix with a delightful personality and whimsically unique markings.
She is a sweet, affectionate and easy-going feline whose pastimes include sunbathing by the window mixed with sporadic bursts of playtime amusement.
She has a melodic purr and will be sure to shower you with her song when it's time for her daily meals. Just when you think she likes to keep to herself, she will nudge against your leg and remind you that she still cares.
Clara does well with children, dogs, and other cats and would be thrilled to go to a home that already has a friend for her to play with. This low maintenance kitty would be an easy addition to any household.
If you look closely, you will notice a small part of her ear has been "tipped." For those who are not aware of what this signifies, ear tipping is the universally accepted way of showing that a cat has been spayed or neutered.
It is generally done as part of the TNR program (trap, neuter, and release) and is done surgically while the cat is under anesthesia getting altered. Ear tipping helps trappers, shelters, and rescue groups in their efforts to try and control the overpopulation of homeless cats in each community.
In addition to being spayed, Clara has been fully vetted, is healthy, and up to date with her vaccinations. She is litter box trained and ready to find her forever home. Her adoption donation is $150.
