Apr. 29, 2020: One year ago, Pet Rescue received a call about a man who was keeping three kittens in his basement. Each cat was confined to a small crate with no litter-box, no interaction with each other, and no chance to connect with humans.
It was a challenging job to socialize these three kitties. Happily, two were adopted within the first few months of arriving in foster care.
The third, and most beautiful of them all, was named Sox. Sox had a harder time adjusting to her new life outside of a box. She has made progress, but still has many miles to travel before she can learn to fully trust. She is wonderful with other cats and would make a fabulous kitty companion. She is happiest when there is another cat around and loves to share her bed with her feline friends.
Sox is not yet comfortable being held by humans and appreciates a calm approach when coming in close proximity to her. She loves treats, and they have helped greatly in advancing her development.
She will do best in a home with one or more cats and low human demand for contact. All she needs is food, a bed, a feline pal, and a person with a kind and patient heart.
This beautiful grey lady was born in July 2018. She has been fully vetted, spayed, and is up to date with her vaccinations. If you have room in your heart and home for Sox, please contact Pet Rescue at New York Pet Rescue
