Oct. 1, 2025: The finals of the BroncoFest, an annual soccer tournament featuring four boys' and four girls' Section 1 teams, were held this past Saturday at Chambers Field, and both Bronxville teams captured the title.
The boys’, who advanced with a first-round 2-1 victory over Valhalla, won the championship by defeating Croton 3-1. The girls’ team earned their spot in the final with a 1-0 win over White Plains, then completed the sweep by shutting out Croton 2-0 in the championship game.
Before the start of the tournament, the girls’ team and their families participated in a new tradition.
“This was the first year that we did a pancake breakfast for the team and parents before the game,” said soccer parent Jen Ungvary. “We had seen football do one last year, and the moms had decorated the parking spots in colored chalk for the seniors. We loved this idea and wanted to celebrate our senior girls in that way.”

The entire team and coaching staff participated in the event. Coach Cupertino loved the idea along with AD Anthony Vaglica, who helped make the event happen. The junior, sophomore, and freshman team members showed up early to decorate the parking spots for the seniors.
