Bronxville residents should be receiving the 2014 edition of The Guide, the local Bronxville phone book. The Guide is in its 84th year of publication and remains a widely utilized and frequently requested local resource. If you did not receive a copy, you may purchase one at Womrath Bookshop on Pondfield Road.
St. Patrick's Day
Everyone is Irish for St. Patrick's Day, so get your blarney on!
The 10th annual Eastchester Irish-American Social Club St. Patrick's Day Parade will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday, March 16, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Tuckahoe and will end at Lake Isle Country Club in Eastchester. The event will feature marching bands, pipe bands, Irish step dancers, vintage cars, active members of the military, police officers, schools, and various other community organizations. Tom Huvane and Jim Hendry have been named as the grand marshals. Fr. Eric Raaser has been selected as the honoree.
Here's J.C. Fogarty's St. Patrick's Day weekend celebration line-up: Friday, March 14--Broken Banjo Strings; Saturday, March 15--Erin's Og; Monday, March 17--Cousins Moran. As always, the pipers will make their appearances. Doors open at 8:00 am on Monday, March 17! There'll be plenty of Guinness, shepherd's pie, lamb stew, and corned beef & cabbage. 60 Kraft Ave.
