May 31, 7pm: Book Event at Womrath Bookshop.  The book is "Epic Annette: A Heroine's Tale." It is described as "the extraordinary true story of the brilliant and fierce Annette Beaumanoir, who joined the French resistance as a 19-year-old medical student," was imprisoned and escaped. Womrath Bookshop is at 76 Pondfield Road in Bronxville.
 
Now- June: Tickets are being sold in the village throughout the remainder of May and the month of June for the annual Senior Citizens Council raffle for a free parking space in Bronxville Village! If you have not received raffle books in our mailing, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.. Ticket donations are $3 per chance, $5 for two, $15 per book of six, and $75 for six books. Drawing Date: Mayor Mary Marvin will select the lucky winner on Flag Day, June 14th.  Winner need not be present. Term of space is July 1 to June 30.
 
June 2-3: Village of Bronxville Sidewalk Sale. Great local bargains throughout Bronxville!
 
June 3, TAKE BACK DAY, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. Elementary school parking lot for county shredder and behind Village Hall to drop off for reuse or recycling electronics, clothing, bedding for animal shelters. 
 
June 6 - 27: Senior Cinema at The Picture House Bronxville:  This program allows seniors 65 and up to watch the 2:30 Tuesday matinee screening for free. Please visit The Picture House website for information about our films.
 
June 11, 4 - 6pm: Bronxville Beautification Council ("BBC") Garden Party. Click here for more information.
 
June 25, 2023: "Loren & Rose" with Iconic Actress Jacqueline Bisset showing at The Picture House Bronxville.  There will be a Q&A with Jacqueline Bisset following the movie. Click here to learn more.
July 5, 12, 19, 27: The Bronxville Pops Concert Band.  Performance dates of the 2023 FREE Summer Concert Series are 8PM in the evening under the stars at The Bronxville High School. Bring a chair, Bring a blanket. Enjoy traditional Concert Band Music under the stars
 
October 1, SAVE THE DATE: Bronxville Village's 125th Anniversary CelebrationThe Committee Chairs for this celebration are Mary Behrens (Village Trustee), Helen Knapp (Village Trustee) and Lisa Rao (Village Resident).

Bronxville Overview

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.

While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.

Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.

The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
