Letter to the Editor: Mayor Mary Marvin on Bronxville DPW

To the Editor:
I am writing as a grateful citizen and a proud fellow co-worker of our department of public works (DPW) staff who did a magnificent job cleaning our village after the recent snowstorm.
So many of you graciously stopped me walking to work last week to have me convey your thanks to our DPW gentlemen. I thought it only fair I share the accolades for them publicly.
Wayne Ballard, our recently appointed head of public works, a veteran of decades in the field, shared with me as well his admiration for our staff in action and marveled at their skill on our narrow, tight, and congested streets.
Our DPW crew is yet another example of what makes our village the special place we call home.
I write this with enormous gratitude and appreciation for all the people in our village who care so deeply, as exemplified by our stellar DPW team and those who noticed their fine efforts.
With admiration,
Mary C. Marvin, Mayor of the Village of Bronxville
