Summer, 2026, Wednesdays at 7:30 PM July 1, 8, 22, 29 & August 5: The Picture House Bronxville offers a Summer Film Club called "REEL CONVERSATIONS."  Experience five evenings of exceptional films and exclusive conversations with acclaimed actors and filmmakers. The series kicks off with special guest actor, director, and writer Lou Diamond Phillips in person for La Bamba (July 1)and the Westchester premiere of Gangland (July 8). July 7, 2026, 7:10PM: The Board of Education of the Bronxville Union Free School District will hold a Public Hearing on the Draft 2026-27 District Wide Safety Plan which will be held in the Auditorium Lobby, Bronxville School, 177 Pondfield Road in Bronxville.  The plan was made available for public comment on the district's website on June 5, 2026, and is available on the District’s website www.bronxvilleschool.org. The public hearing will provide the community with an opportunity to provide input on the proposed adoption of the School District’s updated District Wide Safety Plan as required by Education Law § 2801-a(6).  Members of the public are also invited to communicate comments via email to the District Clerk at This email address is being protected from spambots. June 30, 2026: Property Tax Payment Due. The first half of the 2026–2027 Village/School Property Tax bill is due by June 30 to avoid a penalty. Payments must be received or postmarked no later than June 30 to be considered on time. July 1, 2026, 6:00 - 7:00 PM at the Tuckahoe Library:  Drama in the Colonies: Flashpoints Before the American Revolution. This is an In-Person event. "Drama in the Colonies" is an engaging, discussion-friendly presentation designed for adult learners that explores the escalating tensions between Great Britain and its American colonies in the years leading up to the Revolutionary War. Through a close examination of three pivotal pre-war incidents—the Boston Massacre, the Burning of the Gaspee, and the Boston Tea Party—participants will analyze how conflict, propaganda, and resistance fueled a growing revolutionary spirit.
 
Michael DiMinno is an educator and living historian who has been bringing history to life for learners of all ages for over 25 years. His vivid storytelling and thought-provoking insights help audiences deepen their understanding and explore the difference between historical fact and fiction. Michael's engaging presentations blend his deep knowledge of the subject with a compelling delivery to create an experience that is both informative, memorable and often humorous!
 
July 11, 2026: America's Birthday Parade.

Join the Eastchester, Bronxville, and Tuckahoe 250th Anniversary Committee for America’s Birthday Parade on Saturday, July 11, celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary.

The parade will step off at 11 AM from Immaculate Conception School and conclude at Lake Isle Country Club, where festivities will continue with a community barbecue, live music, and a reading of the Declaration of Independence.

Eastchester Launches “Great Flag-Enger Hunt”: As part of America 250 celebrations, residents are invited to search their homes, attics, and basements for historic American flags that may have a story to tell. July 13, 2026, 1PM to 5PM: Bronxville Community Blood Drive: The American Red Cross will host a community blood drive on Monday, July 13, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the Reformed Church Gym, 180 Pondfield Road. A single blood donation can help save multiple lives. Residents are encouraged to consider donating and supporting this important community effort. Bronxville Overview

Bronxville is a quaint village (one square mile) located just 16 miles north of midtown Manhattan (roughly 30 minutes on the train) and has a population of approximately 6,500. It is known as a premier community with an excellent public school (K-12) and easy access to Manhattan. Bronxville offers many amenities including an attractive business district, a hospital (Lawrence Hospital), public paddle and tennis courts, fine dining at local restaurants, two private country clubs and a community library.

While the earliest settlers of Bronxville date back to the first half of the 18th century, the history of the modern suburb of Bronxville began in 1890 when William Van Duzer Lawrence purchased a farm and commissioned the architect, William A. Bates, to design a planned community of houses for well-known artists and professionals that became a thriving art colony. This community, now called Lawrence Park, is listed on the National register of Historic Places and many of the homes still have artists’ studios. A neighborhood association within Lawrence Park called “The Hilltop Association” keeps this heritage alive with art shows and other events for neighbors.

Bronxville offers many charming neighborhoods as well as a variety of living options for residents including single family homes, town houses, cooperatives and condominiums. One of the chief benefits of living in “the village” is that your children can attend the Bronxville School.

The Bronxville postal zone (10708, known as “Bronxville PO”) includes the village of Bronxville as well as the Chester Heights section of Eastchester, parts of Tuckahoe and the Lawrence Park West, Cedar Knolls, Armour Villa and Longvale sections of Yonkers. Many of these areas have their own distinct character. For instance, the Armour Villa section has many historic homes and even has its own newsletter called “The Villa Voice” which reports on neighborhood news.
