Gramatan Village "Spring Into Summer" Benefit 2025 is on June 4, 2025: Link to Tickets

By Kay-Lin Richardson, Gramatan Village Volunteer

May 7, 2025: Gramatan Village (GV) is thrilled to announce its "Spring Into Summer" Benefit, scheduled for Wednesday, June 4, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Siwanoy Country Club.

This special evening will celebrate the contributions of young volunteers from the Bronxville community and the inspiring programs at Bronxville School and the PTA that foster a spirit of service.

The benefit will honor the remarkable dedication of student volunteers who have demonstrated a genuine commitment to Gramatan Village, highlighting the profound impact of intergenerational relationships. These young individuals have enriched the lives of aging residents through companionship, support, and a sense of belonging, creating a lasting positive ripple effect throughout the community.

"We are incredibly proud to recognize the extraordinary efforts of our youth volunteers and the programs that nurture their passion for service," said Grace Gilmer, Executive Director at Gramatan Village. "Their dedication to building meaningful connections between generations is a testament to the strong sense of community that defines Bronxville."

The honorees include:

-Student Volunteers: Elizabeth Barnes (10th), Rishaan Brainch (10th), Madeleine Brandes (12th), Jillian Byrne (12th), Reid Craig (11th), Jake Donnelly (11th), Henry Frigon (12th), Luke Stricklin (7th), Ee-Ee Sung (10th), Charlotte Van Ness (12th), and Stella Woolery (12th). These students have made impactful contributions through the Intergenerational Book Club, Techy Teens assistance, and general member and administrative support.

-Bronxville Youth Community Service (BYCS) Committee (PTA):

-Middle School Character & Community (C&C) group, for their monthly volunteer activities including tech assistance, card making, and holiday gatherings.

-Elementary C&C group, for their quarterly Game Days that foster joyful interactions between students and GV members.

-Bronxville School Service Learning and Community Engagement Program:

-For initiatives such as the Read-Aloud sessions and the development of ongoing programs that connect students and seniors through literature.

-Freshman Transition Team:

-For their support of the annual Friendsgiving Initiative, including card making and Thanksgiving meal delivery assistance.

These programs exemplify the Bronxville School and PTA’s commitment to early service learning, cultivating empathy, responsibility, and civic engagement among students. By introducing community service at a young age, these programs not only enrich the students’ personal growth but also strengthen the community as a whole.

Gramatan Village is inviting community members to support this meaningful celebration. Tickets begin at $175 per person, and larger contributions are greatly appreciated.
