Treasures Event Abound at Junior League of Bronxville’s 2016 Trails to Treasures Event May 5 and May 6

May 4, 2016: The Junior League of Bronxville's signature fundraiser, Trails to Treasures, has always benefitted from the supportive community in its namesake town, Bronxville. The generosity of residents to open their homes to the public over the years demonstrates the community's overall commitment to the Junior League of Bronxville's vision of stamping out hunger in southern Westchester.
This will continue in 2016 when guests come to the Friday, May 6, event at The Bronxville Women’s Club to shop in the boutique and to tour and taste their way through five exclusive residences.
Now with an expanded two-day event, the community engagement has grown even greater with the involvement of local businesses.
On Thursday, May 5, the newest element, Trails @ Twilight, will include a fashion show featuring spring looks modeled by members and supporters of the Junior League of Bronxville. The following local businesses are participating: Adrian East, Boo Gemes, Bronxville Running Company, Chaos, Citrine, India Morgan, J.McLaughlin, Maison Rouge, Mano A Mano, NORTH, Scout & Molly’s of New Canaan, SF, The Silk Road, Toney Toni and the Gang, Weezie D., and Yum Yum Tree.
The Bronxville Chamber of Commerce's member businesses are excited to be a part of the new fashion show, both to showcase their merchandise and to demonstrate their support of the Junior League's efforts. "This is precisely how a community should partner," said Susan Miele, executive director of the Bronxville Chamber of Commerce.
In addition to shopping across the two-day benefit, there will be a treasure trove of amazing raffle prizes, many of which have been provided by local businesses. An extremely popular item is the three-night stay at the Hamilton Princess in Bermuda, courtesy of Bayside Travel.

Bronxville Beautification Council
Organized in 1982, the Bronxville Beautification Council (BBC) is a not-for-profit organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of the BBC is to enhance and maintain the natural and man-made beauty of the village of Bronxville, with an emphasis on the downtown business district.

Boulder Ledge Garden Club
Founded in 1966, the Boulder Ledge Garden Club is rooted in a mission to inspire a deeper appreciation and love for gardening and flower arranging. The club is dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and knowledge in gardening.
The Club maintains Bronxville’s Bicentennial Park and other civic gardens. In 2019–2020 the club raised $18,000 to replace trees in the village, reflecting its active role in community beautification. It also holds garden therapy projects and educational garden trips for members.

Bronxville Giving Garden
The Bronxville Giving Garden is a community-centered garden that donates organic produce to Eastchester Community Action Partnership in Tuckahoe and Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon. The garden is also a gathering place where school children and volunteers can discover the joy of tending plants and growing food.

Bronxville Green Committee
The Bronxville Green Committee is a volunteer organization that is part of the Village of Bronxville. It proposes and implements environmentally sustainable programs in our community.

Bronxville Boy Scouts
The village of Bronxville has a long tradition of scouting. “The troops and packs of Bronxville have maintained the finest scouting organizations and have taught the boys of the Bronxville area to be leaders and outstanding members of the local, national and global communities.”
