Thirtieth Annual Community Fund Golf Outing Scheduled for May 9

May 4, 2016: The Community Fund’s 30th annual golf outing will be held on Monday, May 9, at Siwanoy Country Club.
While the golfing portion of the day is already sold out, community members are invited to join us for cocktails and a buffet dinner with an auction in the evening beginning at 5:00 pm.
“This year marks the 30th anniversary of the fund’s golf outing,” noted Community Fund president Doug Meyer, “and we are especially excited to be returning to Siwanoy with its newly renovated course.”
Melinda Burge, executive director of The Community Fund, added, “Every year we are amazed at the increasing great range of auction items our committee has assembled, and this year is even better than the last!” The auction and raffle will feature a premier selection of prizes, including a round of golf at top clubs including Friar’s Head, Shinnecock, and Maidstone. An impressive range of sporting tickets will also be on offer, including Yankees tickets, Giants “or” Jets tickets with commissioner club seating, an MSG box during a 2017 Rangers game, and much more. Dinners at local restaurants, tickets to shows, and vintage wines are also available, along with many other luxury items.
Proceeds from last year’s golf outing helped make it possible for The Community Fund to grant $538,700 to 26 social service agencies and community programs directly serving the residents of Bronxville, Bronxville 10708, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe and set aside $25,000 for one-time discretionary grants.
The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe provides financial assistance and administrative support to nonprofit organizations whose programs target the health, education, and welfare needs of all residents in Bronxville, Bronxville 10708, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe. Bronxville Beautification Council
Organized in 1982, the Bronxville Beautification Council (BBC) is a not-for-profit organization administered by a volunteer Board of Directors. The mission of the BBC is to enhance and maintain the natural and man-made beauty of the village of Bronxville, with an emphasis on the downtown business district.

Boulder Ledge Garden Club
Founded in 1966, the Boulder Ledge Garden Club is rooted in a mission to inspire a deeper appreciation and love for gardening and flower arranging. The club is dedicated to fostering and promoting interest and knowledge in gardening.
The Club maintains Bronxville’s Bicentennial Park and other civic gardens. In 2019–2020 the club raised $18,000 to replace trees in the village, reflecting its active role in community beautification. It also holds garden therapy projects and educational garden trips for members.

Bronxville Giving Garden
The Bronxville Giving Garden is a community-centered garden that donates organic produce to Eastchester Community Action Partnership in Tuckahoe and Community Service Associates in Mount Vernon. The garden is also a gathering place where school children and volunteers can discover the joy of tending plants and growing food.

Bronxville Green Committee
The Bronxville Green Committee is a volunteer organization that is part of the Village of Bronxville. It proposes and implements environmentally sustainable programs in our community.

Bronxville Boy Scouts
The village of Bronxville has a long tradition of scouting. “The troops and packs of Bronxville have maintained the finest scouting organizations and have taught the boys of the Bronxville area to be leaders and outstanding members of the local, national and global communities.”
