Voter Information for School Elections Next Tuesday, May 19

May 13, 2015: Below is the information you need to know in order to vote on Tuesday, May 19, on the Bronxville School annual budget, the school board trustees, and the Hayes Field proposition.
When and Where?
On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, polls are open from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm in the multipurpose room of The Bronxville School (use entrance on Midland Avenue).
What is on the Ballot?

The proposed 2015-2016 school district budget of $46,446,335: Vote Yes or No
-
Reserve Fund Transfer Proposition (up to $1.8m)--Synthetic Turf Field: Vote Yes or No

There are three trustee positions for which the candidates are running unopposed:

For a three-year term for the seat currently held by Jeffrey Rohr: Jeffrey Rohr

For a three-year term for the seat currently held by Christopher Atayan: Jonathan Atkeson

To fill the unexpired term from 5/20/2015-6/30/2016 for the seat currently held by James Hudson: Thomas B. Nichols
Who May Vote?
You may vote if you are a US citizen, 18 years or older as of May 19, 2015, if you claim legal residency in New York State and in the Village of Bronxville for at least 30 days prior to May 19, 2015, and if you are not otherwise prohibited from voting under the provisions of the NYS Election Law.
How do I Cast an Absentee Ballot?
A qualified voter must complete and submit an application (available on the website at www.bronxvilleschool.org or in the superintendent's office) in order to receive an absentee ballot. The completed application must have been received at least seven days before the May 19 election (Tuesday, May 12) if the absentee ballot was mailed to the voter or by 3:00 pm on the day before the election (Monday, May 18) if the absentee ballot is to be issued to the voter in person. The completed absentee ballot must be received by 5:00 pm on the day of the election (Tuesday, May 19).
