Bronxville Police Blotter: May 8 to May 10, 2015

Friday, May 8: At 6:48 am, an individual called the police to report that on Midland Avenue the passenger-side window of a 2013 KIA Sportage had been broken into overnight. No items were stolen from the vehicle.
Sunday, May 10: At 7:25 pm on Paxton Avenue, a 28-year-old man and a 35-year-old man from Armonk were charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after Police Officer Christopher Blessington noticed an odor of marijuana emitting from the window of the 2005 Honda after he was stopped for a stop sign violation. A small plastic baggie containing marijuana was discovered inside the vehicle. The vehicle was impounded. Both men were released on their own recognizance after processing pending their next appearance date.
Sunday, May 10: At 11:50 pm, officers responded to an alarm activation at 5 Governors Road and observed an open sliding glass door. Officers checked the interior of the residence, which appeared to have been burglarized. A firebox containing personal papers and $500.00 cash were stolen. The residence was unoccupied and locked with the alarm activated. A second-story window was broken on the side of the house and appeared to be the point of entry. The home was processed for evidence and the incident is being investigated by detectives.
