Bronxville Athletes Honored at Winter Sports Awards, 2026

By S.Q. DeJoy and j. Murrer
March 25, 2026: At the annual Winter Sports Awards night held on March 10th, Athletic Council Co-Presidents Kate Outcalt and Brady Dolan introduced Athletic Director Anthony Vaglica who congratulated all winter athletes on a successful season.
In his opening remarks, Vaglica reminded the athletes to “reflect not just on the success and highlights but on the journey, the growth, and the memories created along the way.”
Bronxville offers many winter sports, including indoor track and field, basketball, squash, ice hockey, boys’ swimming, and skiing. The season can be challenging, with interruptions by Christmas and winter breaks, but this year was particularly difficult for many teams because of the cold temperatures and heavy snow.
The indoor track and field teams had a strong season winning their respective League and Sectionals Championships, and the boys’ team won the overall Westchester County Championship for the second year in a row. Seventeen Bronxville track and field athletes qualified for the New York State Championships, including the boys’ and girls’ 4x800m relay teams who took home bronze medals.
In total, the winter athletes were honored with 39 All-League, 21 All-County, and eight All-Section awards. The full awards ceremony can be viewed at Winter Sports Awards 2026, and a complete list of awards winners is provided below.
