Apr. 30, 2014:  Ryleigh is the kindest, most loving and gentle dog you could possibly imagine.

Sweet Ryleigh is a twelve-pound Chihuahua mix who was used for breeding and then discarded. This low- maintenance, quiet girl is very well behaved and will be an absolute joy for whoever is lucky enough to get her. She gets along perfectly with all people, cats, dogs, and any other critters that cross her path.

Ryleigh loves to be held and pampered. She derives true pleasure from the embrace of caring arms or the gentle hands of someone putting a sweater on her when she is cold. She would be a perfect match for an owner looking for a companion dog to dote on.

Ryleigh would also pair nicely with someone who enjoys their daily zzzs. Miss Ryleigh truly enjoys her beauty rest and her foster mom gets a kick out of her morning efforts to try to sleep in. Each day, when all of the dogs are called for their morning walk, darling Ryleigh quietly and stealthily ducks down and turns her head away in an effort to remain invisible to anyone trying to escort her out the door. However, once she is awake and ready to begin her day, she truly enjoys her walks and is excellent on a leash.

According to her foster mom, "Ryleigh is a real angel and love. She adapts easily to change and knows how to go with the flow" (except, of course, in the early morning hours). She enjoys hanging out with people and watching TV, and she truly appreciates that she is now safe and finally out of harm's way.

This amazing girl is eight years old and completely full of life, and she has many more wonderful years to give to her new family. When I asked Pet Rescue if they had a suggestion for this week's feature, without hesitation they said "Ryleigh," because she is "a great dog that deserves a great home."

Ryleigh is in excellent health, has been spayed, and is up to date with all of her vaccinations. Her adoption donation is $250.
