Wednesday, August 19: At 7:49 pm an Apple iPhone was turned in by an anonymous female. The owner was contacted and it was returned.
Thursday, August 20: At 8:50 am on Pondfield Road Police Officer David DiBenedetto charged a 53-year-old man from Yonkers with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 2nd degree after being stopped for an insufficient turn signal. The 2005 Ford Crown Victoria operated by the man was impounded. He was released on $45.00 cash bail pending his next court appearance.
Thursday, August 20: At 8:33 pm a 57-year-old female resident reported that she had made a $1,500 cash deposit at Chase Bank and that after returning home she was informed by a Chase employee that a $100.00 bill was counterfeit.
Friday, August 21: At 8:30 am a brown wallet containing $42, credit cards, and personal papers was turned in by a Valhalla resident. The owner was contacted and it was returned.
Friday, August 21: At 9:39 am at the parking office in village hall, police officers assisted village court employees with a verbally disruptive 54-year-old male resident who was unhappy with a parking ticket return date. No crime was committed and he left on his own accord.
Friday, August 21: At 12:13 pm near Stoneleigh Plaza a motor vehicle accident occurred. Two vehicles were involved. There were no injuries and information exchange was completed.
Friday, August 21: At 12:37 pm on Crampton Road police officers responded to an activated burglary alarm. All appeared to be in order.
Saturday, August 22: At 9:15 am on Palmer Avenue at the Lawrence Hospital Emergency Room police officers were summoned by Lawrence Hospital security because of a verbally combative patron who was reportedly asked to leave for taking pictures of hospital staff and patients. The dispute was resolved prior to officers’ arrival. The subject left the area on his own accord.
