Bronxville Non-Partisan Committee Initiates Search for 2016 Candidates for School Board Trustee; Public Meeting Tuesday, November 17

Oct. 21, 2015: Bronxville's Committee for the Non-Partisan Nomination and Election of School Trustees (NPC), which is beginning its 80th year of serving the Bronxville community, has announced that it has commenced its 2015-2016 search for candidates to serve as Bronxville school trustees. An open meeting will be held on Tuesday, November 17, at 7:30 pm in the courtroom of Bronxville Village Hall in connection with the NPC's process of seeking and nominating candidates for school trustee.
At this meeting, the NPC will solicit input from the community on the selection of the school board candidates. The NPC particularly wishes to hear what members of the community feel are the most important issues facing the school and what qualifications and characteristics the community would like to see in their school trustees.

Questions will be selected at random and directed to our special guest panel, Dr. David Quattrone, superintendent of the Bronxville schools, and Denise Tormey, president of the Bronxville Board of Education. They will provide their views on the job of school trustee and the significant issues facing the school and the board.
Any resident who is interested in running for school trustee or who would like to suggest candidates should contact the NPC as soon as possible. To be considered by the NPC, individuals must submit an application to the NPC by February 27, 2016. The application form can be found on the NPC website, www.bronxvillenpc.com.
