Bronxville Police Blotter: February 11 to February 15, 2016

Thursday, Feb. 11, 2:13 pm, Cedar Street: Police Officer Cheryl Jarosz arrested a 51-year-old woman from Mount Vernon on an active Village of Bronxville bench warrant for failing to appear on a previous charge of aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle in the third degree and a suspended registration. She was also charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree and a suspended registration in this instance. She was arraigned by Judge George McKinnis and released on her own recognizance pending her next court date.
Friday, Feb. 12, 8:59 am, Palmer Avenue: Police Officer Baldwin Firpo charged a 44-year-old man from Mount Vernon with aggravated driving while intoxicated, a class (e) felony known as "Leandra's Law." Officers responded to 911 calls of a motor vehicle accident on Palmer Avenue where the man reportedly had struck a parked vehicle. The passengers in the man's vehicle were a two-year-old child and a 49-year-old female. Breath analysis registered the man's blood alcohol content to be .22%. There were no injuries reported as a result of the accident. The man was arraigned by Judge George Mayer and released after posting $5,000 bail.
Saturday, Feb. 13, 10:14 pm: Lawrence Hospital emergency room staff requested police assistance with a discharged patient who refused to leave. The officer reported that hospital security handled the issue and that the patient left on his/her own accord upon arrival of officers.
Monday, Feb. 15, 9:29 am, Parkway Road: There was an accident between two cars. There were no injuries. An exchange of information was prepared.
