Mar. 23, 2016: In celebration of International Women's Day, six local media executives and entrepreneurs, including Bronxville resident Shenan Reed, president of MEC Digital, held a panel discussion on March 8 at the Rye Arts Center titled "Women in Emerging Digital Media Leadership."
In addition to Reed, the talk featured Tina Exarhos of Rye, former CMO of MTV; Fran Hauser of Bedford, former president of Time Inc, Digital and a venture capitalist; Tiffany Pham, founder and CEO of Mogul; and Johanna Zeilstra of Mamaroneck, entrepreneur and founder of Womensdebate.org.
The discussion was moderated by Suzanna Keith, a digital media executive from Rye.
The question-and-answer session was led by Kim Berns and Deborah Sanguineti of the local television show What's My Brand?, a talk show on Rye TV, the public access television station in Rye (its website is www.RyeTV.org).
Reed commented, "Disruption in the media business is happening rapidly. Innovation is critical to success. It's a great honor to discuss the trends that are impacting the landscape with such a fantastic group of accomplished women."
The panel discussion will be held again on April 20 at the NYU Leonard N. Stern School of Business.
