Bronxville Police Blotter: June 22 to July 4, 2016

Wednesday, June 22, 9:03 pm, Park Place: Police officers performed traffic control while the Eastchester Fire Department inspected and extinguished smoke coming from a planter on the corner of Park Place.
Friday, July 1, 12:05 pm: There was a two-car accident. There were no injuries, and an information exchange was prepared.
Saturday, July 2, 12:05 pm: A 19-year-old resident of New Rochelle was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana after he was stopped for a traffic violation and Police Officer Lauralee Ulrich observed a strong odor emitting from the vehicle. The 2001 Buick operated by the resident was impounded. He was processed and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance.
Sunday, July 3, 7:18 pm, CVS on Pondfield Road: A 47-year-old resident of the Bronx was charged with petit larceny after stealing four bottles of Enfamil and 62 packages of gum and fleeing CVS on foot. Officers located him attempting to board a southbound train and recovered the stolen property. He was arraigned by Judge George McKinnis and remanded to the Westchester County jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.
Monday, July 4, 12:31 pm, Westway: Officers interviewed two homeowners who were involved in a verbal traffic dispute on Westway. It was alleged that a Southway homeowner had spit in the face of a Westway homeowner during the argument. Neither individual wanted to pursue the matter any further.
