Sunday, August 14, 6:42 pm, Sagamore Road: A storage locker was reported damaged in the basement of an apartment building.
Sunday, August 14, 6:57 pm, Lake Avenue: Police Officer Baldwin Firpo charged a 59-year-old woman of Mount Vernon with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended registration, aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the third degree, and operating without insurance as the result of a license plate reader indication. The 2002 Dodge Caravan she was operating was impounded. She was processed on the scene and released pending her next court appearance.
Monday, August 15, 8:35 am, Pondfield Road: There was a two-car motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries, and an information exchange was completed.
Monday, August 15, Acme Foods on Cedar Street: At 10:14 am, an unidentified male who attempted to steal items from the grocery store was confronted by a store employee and fled on foot. The incident is being investigated.
Wednesday, August 17, 9:11 am, NYP/Lawrence Hospital: A hospital staff member reported that a female patient was using illegal drugs inside the hospital. The patient left the hospital prior to the arrival of officers.
