Concordia Conservatory to Hold Open Auditions for 17th Annual Holiday Musical September 23 and 24

By Kathleen Suss, Executive Director, Concordia Conservatory
Sep. 21, 2016: Concordia Conservatory will hold open auditions for its 17th annual holiday musical, Santa's Year Off, on Friday, September 23, and Saturday, September 24.
Community performers ages 8 to 18 are invited to audition. Auditioners are required to sing a solo song of their choice that best demonstrates their vocal ability and must bring their own sheet music. An accompanist will be provided.
Tryouts will take place in Stein Hall at Concordia College from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Friday and from 9:00 am to noon on Saturday.
The performance dates are December 2, 3, and 4.
Since 1999, Concordia Conservatory has produced an annual holiday musical as a tuition-free community outreach program funded by private contributions from donors throughout Westchester County.
The book, music, and lyrics of Santa's Year Off were written by Concordia Conservatory alumnus Christopher Landy, currently a composition and film major at Northwestern University. This is the first holiday community musical created by a Conservatory graduate.
