We are very excited to have the Furniture Sharehouse, which just celebrated its 10th anniversary, joining us. It is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization located in White Plains. It collects used furniture, turns it around, and gives it to needy families in Westchester. It is staggering to realize how many needy neighbors we have right in our backyards. For more information about this terrific organization, please check out its website at http://www.furnituresharehouse.org.
A special thanks to the Green Committee volunteer members, Mayor Mary Marvin, our liaison to the Village of Bronxville, Furniture Sharehouse, St. Joseph's Youth Ministry members, and Wayne Ballard and his dedicated and always helpful DPW staff for making this much-needed event possible.
Look for us again in May '17.
