Bronxville Police Blotter: January 31 to February 4, 2017

Tuesday, January 31, 8:35 pm: On Parkway Road, a resident reported that on January 23, 2017, at approximately 6:00 pm, a suspicious/unknown male, possibly in his early 20s, knocked on her door and asked for a drink of water. When the request was denied, the male fled in a dark-colored sedan. A second resident reported a similar incident on the same date.
Wednesday, February 1, 10:55 pm: An anonymous caller reported a loud verbal dispute outside his residence. Officers responded and quelled the argument between family members. A domestic incident report was prepared; no crime was committed.
Thursday, February 2, 10:39 am: A 34-year-old man from Yonkers was arrested and charged with Bail Jumping in the Third Degree after failing to appear for a court date on November 11, 2016, where he was scheduled to face charges for Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the Second Degree. The man was released pending his next court appearance.
Friday, February 3, 5:32 am: Officers responded to a theft of service call at 125 Parkway Road. A New York City taxi driver reported that a customer had fled from the taxi into 125 Parkway Road to avoid paying the $189 fare. Officers were unable to locate the man, and the building superintendent was not available to assist. The next day, detectives were able to utilize village surveillance cameras in the area to identify and contact the suspect. Restitution was made to the taxi company, which decided not to pursue criminal charges.
Saturday, February 4, 12:29 pm: An anonymous caller reported construction work being performed at a residence on Studio Lane. After being informed of the village ordinance by officers, the resident halted work until Monday.
