Special Update on Previous Attempted Break-in: After a five-month investigation, the Bronxville Police Department has charged two males from Yonkers, a 33-year-old and a 21-year-old, with Attempted Burglary in the Second Degree (class D felony) in connection with a 911 call in September. On September 21, 2016, at 9:06 am, the Bronxville Police Department received a 911 call from an elderly female residing on Fordal Road. The victim stated that two men had just pried open the rear door of her residence and attempted to gain entry before she heard the noise and confronted them, sending them fleeing in a dark-colored sedan.
Sunday, March 5, 1:47 pm: A motorist on Pondfield Road reported that an irate male pedestrian escalated a verbal disagreement by smashing his cell phone to keep him from calling the police. The incident is being investigated.
Sunday, March 5, 11:00 pm: A female resident reported that she had had a verbal disagreement with her boyfriend, who then stopped the vehicle they were in and forced her to exit. Contact was made with the boyfriend, who returned to police headquarters to return the property that the woman had left in the vehicle. A domestic incident report was completed.
Monday, March 6, 11:35 am: A homeowner on McKinley Avenue reported that he had been threatened by a contractor during a dispute over payment.
Monday, March 6: A co-op board member on Meadow Avenue reported that the main entrance door lock to the building was damaged. No items were reported missing and no other crimes were reported in the building.
Thursday, March 9, 12:21 pm: A resident on Parkway Road reported that he had been receiving threatening emails from his wife's ex-husband. The incident is being investigated.
Friday, March 10, 9:03 am: A lost passport found on Park Place was turned over to a police officer. The owner was contacted and it was returned to him.
Sunday, March 12, 10:40 am: A Good Samaritan turned in to the police desk a wallet found on Pondfield Road containing $140 in cash and a check in the amount of $11,500. Officers were able to locate the owner and return the wallet to him intact.
Tuesday, March 14, 7:30 pm: On Beverly Road, there was a two-vehicle accident. There were no injuries and an information exchange was completed by the responding officer.
Thursday, March 16, 9:52 pm: On Valley Road, a 47-year-old man of Yonkers was charged by Police Officer Nigel Butler with Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle in the 3rd Degree after he was stopped for an improper U-turn. An inquiry revealed that his driving privileges had been suspended for failing to answer a summons he had received in the Village of Tuckahoe in January. The vehicle was released to the owner, who was on the scene. The driver was processed on the scene and released pending his court appearance on April 5.
Friday, March 17, 12:59 pm: The Village of Bronxville meter repair agent reported that a razor blade had been deposited in the coin slot of a Sagamore Road meter. The incident is being investigated.
Sunday, March 19, 6:18 am: At Lawrence Hospital, officers assisted with a verbal argument between a New York City taxi driver and a customer. No crime was committed.
