Bronxville Police Blotter: February 13 to March 25, 2017

Monday, February 13, 2:40 pm: A 20-year-old female reported to Detective Steve Valentin that on February 4, 2017, at approximately 10:30 am, she entered Studio Shoe Repair Inc. to drop off a pair of shoes for repair. Upon completion of her transaction, she reported that an employee subjected her to unwanted physical contact. After a subsequent investigation, the owner of Studio Shoe Repair Inc. was arrested and charged with Harassment in the Second Degree. He was processed and arraigned before Judge George Mayer and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance.
Thursday, February 17, 7:47 am: At 1 Depot Plaza, Bronxville Police Officers responded to two independent telephone calls and one 911 call reporting a dispute in the area of the taxi stand. Upon arrival, officers interviewed a 15-year-old male victim who reported that an irate woman had struck him with her purse, placed him in a headlock, and scratched him in an effort to take his cell phone away as he was recording her behavior. The woman, of Mount Vernon, was subsequently arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child for acting in a manner likely to be injurious to person under the age of 17 and Harassment in the Second Degree. The woman was arraigned before Judge McKinnis and released on her own recognizance pending her next court appearance.
Tuesday, March 21, 9:09 am: It was reported that at approximately 1:39 am an unlocked, unalarmed red 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee on Prescott Road with the keys left inside the vehicle had been stolen from a driveway.
Tuesday, March 21, 7:39 pm: Police Officers responded to multiple calls reporting an erratic driver on Tanglewylde Avenue at Pondfield Road. Police Officers located the vehicle in front of 16 Tanglewylde Avenue, where it drove over the sidewalk and crashed into the bushes. After a refusal to submit to an alcohol breath sensor test and a failed field sobriety test, the 18-year-old driver was charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol, Refusal of a Pre-Screen Test, and Consumption of Alcoholic Beverages and cited for Unlicensed Driver, Inadequate Tires, and Inadequate Headlights. The passenger of the vehicle was charged with Unlawful Possession of Marijuana after he was found to be in the possession of a large plastic ziplock bag containing marijuana and 58 smaller empty ziplock baggies. The 2013 Toyota Corolla was impounded. The driver was arraigned before Judge George McKinnis and released on his own recognizance pending his next court appearance. The passenger was released with a desk appearance ticket ordering him to appear before the Bronxville Justice Court on April 5, 2017, at 6:00 pm.
Saturday, March 23, 5:26 pm: On Parkway Road, officers responded to an attorney's office to assist with an irate client. The client left just before the officers' arrival. The attorney refused to provide any details of the incident to the officers because of "ethical" reasons.
Sunday, March 24, 5:41 am: A Concordia College security officer requested police assistance with an irate female acquaintance. Officers were able to quell the verbal dispute. No crime was committed.
Monday, March 25, 11:30 am: On Avon Road, Officers responded to an activated panic alarm. The alarm was activated in error by an employee. An alarm report was completed.
