Concordia College Announces New CFO/COO and VP for Strategic Planning/Management

Jul. 12, 2017: Concordia College New York announced the promotion of Harry Walpole to serve as chief financial officer and chief operating officer (CFO/COO), a new position at the college. Ted Francavilla, former chief financial officer, is moving into a new role as vice president for strategic planning and strategic management.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Harry and Ted moving into these key executive team positions. They are both exemplars of leadership and stewardship who have already delivered strong results,” said Concordia College president Rev. Dr. John A. Nunes. “Their vast experience, innovative thinking, and organizational expertise will continue to make a big impact on Concordia’s future.”
Walpole will be responsible for human resources, information technology, finance, and facilities operations at the college. Francavilla will develop and assist in the leadership, communication, and implementation of the college’s new strategic plan. They will both report directly to the president.
Walpole has over forty years of experience in financial analysis and management, project development, technological innovation, risk mitigation, and strategic planning. He has served in various senior executive roles at AXA Equitable, People’s Bank, Chase, and Citicorp. He holds his MBA from New York University.
“Having worked at Concordia over the last three years, I have observed firsthand the dedication and passion of the administration, faculty, and staff in fulfilling Concordia’s mission,” added Walpole. “I’m thrilled to be a part of Concordia’s bright future and continued growth."
