October 4, 2019, 4:00 pm, Police Headquarters: A 41-year-old woman of Mount Vernon turned herself in at the request of the Detective Bureau to honor an active arrest warrant issued for her failure to appear for her regular court date on 09/11/2019 for Suspended Registration. The woman was processed and released on her own recognizance pending her next court appearance.
October 5, 2019, 8:24 am, Police Headquarters: A wallet was given to the desk officer by an anonymous pedestrian. The owner was contacted, and it was returned.
October 7, 2019, 7:30 am, ACME Store, Cedar Street: A wallet was found by an employee and given to Police. The owner was contacted, and it was returned.
October 7, 2019, 12:06 pm, Police Headquarters: A 40-year-old Yonkers man was charged with Criminal Contempt of Court in the 1st Degree for Violating an Order of Protection in Bronxville on 09/11/2019. The man was processed and arraigned by Judge Primps. He was released after posting $1,500.00 bail.
October 7, 2019, 7:38 pm, Beverly Road: A homeowner reported that a raccoon was in his garbage. Officers scared it away.
October 10, 2019, 4:50 pm Pondfield Road: A resident reported that she believes she may have struck an animal with her car and that it is inside the vehicle's front grill alive. Officers responded, and with the help of two employees of Merit Auto Body, a rabbit was released from the grill unharmed.
October 12, 2019, 3:06 am, White Plains Road: A 41-year-old man of Waterbury, CT, was charged with DWI after registering a .10 blood alcohol content. His 2017 Nissan Altima was impounded. He was released on his own recognizance after a couple of hours of processing pending his next court appearance.
