Apr.8, 2020:  Thanks to incredible partnerships from every corner of the village, we have instituted together three different ways to aid all those who serve the village and are affected by the consequences of the virus.

It’s a three prong approach.

If you would like to honor a first responder organization, you can call any of our restaurants/merchants and designate a gift certificate to any and all of the following: Lawrence Hospital staffers, EVAC, Eastchester Fire Department, and the Bronxville Police Department. The proprietor will make out the gift card to the appropriate organization, and then our police officers will periodically stop by to collect and then deliver to first responder headquarters.

The Chamber of Commerce just launched an online way to help our non-restaurant merchants in particular. To buy certificates to any store, go to the chamber website, www.bronxvillechamber.org. If the store is not listed, please call them directly to purchase by phone and use later to support our merchants now to get through this crisis.

The Rotary Club of Bronxville has stepped up to help the employees of many of our merchants who need financial assistance as they weather the crisis until other aid is delivered. To help many of the friendly faces you see on a daily basis in our stores, go to the rotary website, www.bronxvillerotary.com, and click donate.

After speaking with Michael Fosina, President of NYP/ Lawrence Hospital, he noted that letters of encouragement and appreciation really buoy the staff morale. Letters from any villagers of every age can be directed to President Michael Fosina, NYP/ Lawrence Hospital 55 Palmer Ave., and then he will share electronically with the entire staff.

And finally, in a special partnership, many of our houses of worship will be tolling their bells and playing hymns to uplift both Lawrence Hospital staff and our Village residents
