Pet of the Week: Rosie

Jun. 24, 2015: Rosie is a beautiful seven-year-old orange tabby kitty with a white apron and paws.
Shortly after Hurricane Sandy, she was rescued from a cat hoarder and placed in the care of a family with two small children. Although the kids had the best of intentions, they were often overly affectionate with Rosie and their parents realized that their home was probably not the best fit for this kitty.
Rosie loves her toys. She is quite playful and enjoys throwing her toy mouse in the air to entertain herself. She will also carry her toys around and present them to people as her gift to them.
When you first meet Rosie, she may be a bit bashful. She enjoys affection but likes to be petted with a gentle hand. For this reason, we are hoping to find her a home without small children.
She does get along with other cats and spent many years in a house with at least 20 other feline friends at any given time; however, based on her demure personality, she may thrive more if she is the sole receiver of your attention.
Rosie is spayed, healthy, and up to date with her vaccinations. She is ready for immediate adoption or fostering and is hoping for a kind-hearted soul to give her the love she deserves. If you would like more information or would like to meet Rosie, please email Alisa at
