Bronxville's Häagen-Dazs Ice Cream Parlor Showcases Newly Designed Shop Amidst Freezing Temperatures

Jan. 28, 2015: The temperature outside neared freezing and remnants of snow could be seen on the streets, but the Bronxville Häagen-Dazs ice cream parlor located at the corner of Kraft Avenue and Parkway Place didn't let a little thing like that stop it.
On Friday, January 23, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm, one of the coldest days of the year to date, the shop held a free ice cream "taste-in" and invited the community.
With great fanfare the parlor showcased its newly designed store that merges a classic ice cream shop with a modern experience.
Once guests had decided on a cone, sundae, or freshly hand-dipped Häagen-Dazs bar, they were able to watch the creation of their treat from a special "dessert theater" viewing area. There was also a tasting station to sample new flavors. Who could resist?
The new shop design will be used at all new shops going forward as well as for existing shops (more than 200 in the US) when they remodel.
On hand to greet the throng of ice cream lovers was Justin Chafe, marketing manager for Häagen-Dazs Shops since 2011; Dawn Uremovich, president and general manager of Häagen-Dazs Shops; Alex Placzek, director of marketing for Häagen-Dazs North America; and Irfan Mandani, the franchise owner of the Bronxville shop.
The following day, Häagen-Dazs continued its grand opening. Free scoops, sundaes, and hand-dipped bars were available from noon to 4:00 pm, and a corner for kids was set up with activities and horse-and-carriage rides on Kraft Avenue.
