The Community Fund Announces 24 Grants Totaling $543,570; See Awardees

Jun. 11, 2014: The Community Fund of Bronxville Eastchester Tuckahoe, Inc., at its annual meeting on Tuesday, May 27, announced $543,570 in community grants to be awarded in 2014-2015.
The grants will help support twenty-four social service agencies and community programs serving the Bronxville 10708, Eastchester, and Tuckahoe community.
"We are pleased to announce grants totaling $543,570 for 2014-15," noted Jeff Rohr, FY 2014 president of The Community Fund. "For 95 years, donors to The Community Fund have been helping meet the ever-increasing needs in our community. I want to thank our donors, who continue to make this possible, and thank my colleagues on the board and our many volunteers for their extraordinary commitment to helping others in our community."
Betsy Goodell, evaluations co-chair, stated, "My co-chair, Cathy Needham, and I are eternally grateful to the forty evaluators who performed the thorough and thoughtful review of every agency and program The Community Fund supports, assuring our donors that their money is well invested. The entire grant allocation process constantly reminds me how lucky we are to live in a community that values the services and programs provided by the applicant agencies. It is truly a community of neighbors helping neighbors, and we at The Community Fund are proud to be a part."
The Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe, Inc., is a nonprofit corporation organized to provide funding and support for agencies and community programs supporting the health, education, and welfare needs of local residents.
