Jan. 31, 2018:  Snowflakes hanging from the rafters and walls draped in white silk with blue lights set the stage at the Bronxville Field Club for the annual 8th Grade Snowflake Ball, which was held on January 20. Over 100 eighth-graders from the Bronxville School's Class of 2022 attended this first formal dance.

The event is an annual weekend evening party hosted by the Bronxville Middle School Council, a division of the Bronxville School PTA. The students danced the night away to current hits and oldies provided by the entertainment and DJ company Pure Energy, which is based out of New Jersey. Party motivators got the kids out on the dance floor, where they spent most of the evening. A photo booth from Happy Face Photobooths captured their expressions. Parent and chaperone Jeff Tuck commented, "It was great to see our village's young men and women have a truly celebratory experience together. It will be a moment to remember throughout their lives." When not dancing, many dined on a fabulous pizza and pasta bar with cookies and treats to end the evening.

Grade chairs and organizers of the event, Hilary Blumenreich, Nicole Tuck, and Lisa Rao, said that the planning was "a pleasure to do. This is such an enjoyable, well-behaved, and spirited group of middle school students. We were thrilled to host their first dance."

Decorating was assisted by local flower vendor Bob Krause from Mrs. Morgan's Flower Shop in Bronxville, with delicious cookies purchased from Bronxville's Topp's Bakery. "We're always thrilled to work with our local vendors and appreciate their support of the students and the Bronxville PTA," stated the organizers.
