Concordia Conservatory to present "A Night in Budapest:" Link to Tickets

March 27, 2024: Concordia Conservatory proudly marks the culmination of the 20th anniversary season of its esteemed Hoch Chamber Music Concert Series with an unforgettable evening, A Night in Budapest.

This event not only signifies a milestone for the Conservatory but also heralds a momentous occasion as the final concert of the 2023-24 season will debut for the first time at the Conservatory’s Stamford location, St. John’s Lutheran Church, on Friday, April 5 at 8:00 pm (884 Newfield Avenue.)

And to officially close this exceptional season, the concert will be performed at The Reformed Church of Bronxville on Saturday, April 6, at 7:00 pm (180 Pondfield Road.)

Artistic Director and violist, Lawrence Dutton is joined by Elizabeth Lim-Dutton and Conservatory faculty, Emanouil Manolov on violins, Junah Chung, on viola, and Estelle Choi & Zhihao Wu on cello.

The evening's program promises an exquisite blend of classical masterpieces, with the first act paying homage to Budapest's esteemed composers, Bela Bartok and Erno Dohnányi. The second act crescendos into a grand finale with Brahms’ String Sextet No. 2 in G Major, captivating audiences with its timeless beauty and emotional depth. Throughout the performance, the audience will be transported to the banks of the Danube River, immersing themselves in the enchanting melodies that echo through Budapest's historic streets.

For two decades, Concordia Conservatory's Hoch Chamber Music Concert Series has remained steadfast in its mission to enrich communities across Westchester and now Fairfield County with exceptional musical experiences. Through its unwavering dedication, the Conservatory continues to share the transformative power of music with audiences of all ages, fostering a deeper appreciation for the arts and inspiring future generations of musicians.
