Letter to the Community in Support of Mary Taylor Behrens for Bronxville Village Trustee

March 12, 2024: We write to support Mary Taylor Behrens for re-election to a third term as Bronxville Village Trustee.  Since Mary joined the Board of Trustees in 2020, the Village has benefited from her knowledge of the Village as a resident of over 40 years as well as from her extensive business and non-for-profit experience.

Mary has worked to improve communication with residents through the monthly “One Square Mile” newsletter, was the Trustee point person for transformation of Maltby Park into a beautiful playground, a critical supporter of the mid-way crosswalk and sidewalks on Rt. 22 at Elm Rock, supporter of the food scrap recycling program and the restricted use of gas-powered leaf blowers. Mary was also on the committee that put together the Village’s 125th Anniversary celebration. She is currently working on flood mitigation alongside the Mayor and the other Trustees and is a strong supporter of the Village Police Department. Along with the Mayor, she is the liaison with Iona University and NYP Westchester (formerly NYP Lawrence).

Mary is a hard-working and dedicated public servant. We are lucky to have people like her willing to devote their time, energy and talents to our beautiful village.  We thank her for her efforts and enthusiastically support her re-election.
