Concordia Conservatory to Present "You've Got Styles" on October 28

Oct. 18, 2023" Concordia Conservatory presents its opening show of the 2023-24 UNIQUE Series season “You Got Styles” on Saturday, October 28 at three locations: The Reformed Church of Bronxville, Concordia Conservatory, 884 Newfield Avenue, Stamford and at the New Canaan Public Library.

The UNIQUE Series is an interactive music experience created for people with special needs/neurodiverse individuals. This musical show includes various song styles including folk, pop, jazz, Eastern and classical music showcasing diverse avenues for expressing art and ideas through music.

The show is hosted by Concordia Conservatory’s Rami Vamos and Matt Van Brink and performed by members of Orchestra Lumos. The show will engage audiences with elements of music therapy and family friendly humor while making music accessible to the individuals, families and caregivers in an intimate concert setting in the three venues.

Artistic Director Elizabeth Lim-Dutton worked with Concordia Conservatory’s Executive Director Kathleen Suss and Anthony Parce, Community Engagement and Education Manager for Orchestra Lumos, to bring this truly “unique” live music experience for our neurodiverse community.

Conservatory ambassadors for the UNIQUE Series are Kathleen Moriarty, Lilly Slaughter, and Ashton Turner. Concordia Conservatory provides music and arts therapy to both group classes and private sessions.

Currently, the Conservatory provides weekly creative arts therapy to 450 students ages 4 to 22 in the Stamford and Norwalk Public School Districts in Connecticut, as well as the Eastchester Public School District in New York.
