May 10, 2023: Bronxville hosted the League 3B Outdoor Track and Field Championships last week, and both the boys’ and girls’ teams had strong performances. Always the favorite, the Bronxville girls’ team won with 310 points and was followed by Rye Neck with 207 and Blind Brook with 20. The boys’ team, also a favorite, scored 328 points followed by Rye Neck with 119 and Tuckahoe with 55. Also competing at Leagues were Woodlands and the Leffell School.
The boys’ team had first place finishes in 11 of the 19 events, and the girls’ team placed first in 14 of the 20 events. Team members who placed first in an event earned All-League honors.
“The story of the meet was really how our younger athletes stepped up and competed extremely well,” said Coach Brian Halling. “One highlight was Wyatt Gravier's performance in the 110m Hurdles. His time of 15.22 won the event and also ranks 8th in the state so far this season.”
