Concordia Conservatory Movie Musical Sells Out: Additional Showing Announced

Dec. 7, 2022Concordia Conservatory announces an added showing of its 23rd annual holiday community musical movie, “It Takes A Holiday Village” on December 20 at 6:30 pm at The Picture House, Bronxville.

Overwhelming ticket sales have sold out the Bronxville December 18 premiere and the Pelham showings, December 19-23.  “The phone kept ringing and with a wait list of more than 40, we were compelled to add another showing'' says Concordia Conservatory Executive Director Kathleen Suss.  

The cast hails from throughout Westchester and Fairfield Counties and includes Zach Bostock, Rayleen Bourdierd, Anyi Chen, Cindy Chen, Maeve Donnelly, Stella Donnelly, Nathaniel Dower, Sofia Duffy, Caris Erman-Thurmond, Ariana Gleason, Simon Grogan, Reed Harris Butts, Trixie Herman, Josh Judin, Kit Knapp, Blake Lander, Harry Manion, Chloe Mayer, Kelly McWilliams, Maeve McWilliams, Kathleen Moriarty, Samiya Narain, Elaina Poulos, Mariana Profili, Jeffrey Rohr, Laura Sanchez, Alexandra Seuffert, Katarina Seuffert, Lauren Seuffert, Lilly Slaughter, Avery Smith, Darcy Smith, Jordan Smith, Grace Smyth, Julia Tobin, Kayla Tobin, and Lila Wahl.

The musical is composed by Conservatory alum Chris Landy with script and lyrics by Greg Suss. During his time at the Conservatory Chris studied composition, voice and piano, was a member of the rock band and a 10- year performer in the holiday community musical. Chris is a graduate of Northwestern University.  This is his second commissioned work for Concordia Conservatory’s and his first collaboration with lyricist Greg Suss.

The production team includes Greg Suss & Alan Weiss (directors), Jon Klibonoff (music director), Jason Summers (choreographer) with filming and post-production by Alan Weiss Productions and Lilly Slaughter (production assistant).

Since 1999, the Conservatory’s annual tuition-free holiday musical has been a beloved community institution and an effective theatre arts outreach program, supported by generous donors who have given over $950,000. In its 22-year history, the musical has been seen by 18,000 enthusiastic audience members and performed by 1,600 performers. The Concordia Conservatory annual holiday community musical provides an opportunity for area youth to participate, without regard to family financial situation and disability.
