Gramatan Village Cohosted Senior Care Symposium; Pre-Diabetes Seminar Coming Up

By Heather Scholes, Gramatan Village

On Wednesday, September 14, Gramatan Village cohosted a Senior Care Symposium with the Westchester Women in Senior Care Committee at the Bronxville Library. The event was open to all members of the community, and was well attended by both Gramatan Village members, as well as non-members, including New York State Senator Shelley B. Mayer.

The goal of the symposium was to provide reliable information to seniors and caregivers to better navigate a variety of resources available to them. Speakers included experts in the fields of healthcare advocacy, estate planning, home health care, Medicare, inpatient rehab, and senior community living. Generous raffle prizes, including a spa gift basket and a food and wine basket, were provided by each guest speaker.

Gramatan Village, in partnership with NY Presbyterian-Westchester, will be holding their next public seminar, "Pre-Diabetes: What You Need to Know", at the Bronxville Public Library, on Monday, October 24th at 2pm.

If you would like to find out more about the services that Gramatan Village provides to the local aging community, please contact their office at 914-337-1338.
