March 9, 2022: Covid-19 cases in our area have fallen continuously since January to their current level of 367 total cases. There are currently 20 reported cases in Bronxville.
Yesterday Governor Hochul confirmed that cases are falling statewide but also emphasized the importance of vaccination. She said, "Thanks to New Yorkers stepping up, we continue to see numbers trending in the right direction, but we must remain vigilant in order to continue the progress we have made against COVID-19. Parents and guardians, please talk to your pediatrician or health care provider about getting your children vaccinated and boosted. The vaccine is safe, effective and the best way to keep our communities safe from this virus."
New York’s indoor mask mandate for schools and child-care centers was lifted last Wednesday. A local Bronxville School student reported that the majority of Bronxville School students are no longer wearing masks but some children still prefer to wear them. The same is true of teachers, with some still opting to wear masks.
