Dec. 8, 2021: Over 700 people attended performances of Concordia Conservatory’s 22nd annual holiday community musical, “PAGEANT!” with shows on December 4 & 5. The cast of youth from ages 8 – 25 hailed from Westchester County and Fairfield County (CT).

At this season of giving and sharing, this story is of Concordia Conservatory “playing on” as an independent community music school in Westchester County partnering with the Bronxville School District for a true COMMUNITY effort even as Concordia College closed.

Bronxville Mayor Mary Marvin opened the path for the production to be presented at the Bronxville School during the summer and the team at Bronxville School headed by Superintendent Roy Montesano and Dan Carlin with Mike Lee and Brian Parker hosted the community musical with a welcoming and collaborative spirit.

Since 1999, the Conservatory’s annual tuition-free holiday musical has been a beloved community institution and an effective theatre arts outreach program.  In its 22-year history, the musical has been seen by 18,000 enthusiastic audience members and performed by 1,600 performers supported by $1,000,000 in donations since its first performance.

The PAGEANT! cast included Xochi Aburto, Ciara Andrews, Natalie Beit, Zach Bostock, Anyi Chen, Elizabeth Cioffi, Cindy DeMaj, Nate Dower, Annabella Ferraro, Simon Grogan, Luke Kennedy, Kit Knapp,  Ariya Mattu, Lila Mattu, Chloe Mayer, Kelly McWilliams, Maeve McWilliams, Porter Rao, Jeff Rohr, Caroline Ryan, Laura Sanchez, Alexandra Seuffert, Katarina Seuffert, Lauren Seuffert, Lilly Slaughter, Luke Szczepanski, Kayla Tobin, & Eben Vanderwarker.

On Friday evening, Concordia Conservatory carolers visited and sang at 9 Bronxville restaurants with Chamber of Commerce Director Shannon Gangemi and President Leah Caro and Bronxville Police Officer Escort Matthew Stein.

The Conservatory Carolers included Executive Director Kathleen Suss, Director Melinda Magnani, Faculty Liz Ast, Program Coordinator Marilou Yacoub, Tania Weiss, Anne Angevine and Conservatory students Grace Brogan, Naomi Eliason, Ines Hanjis, Jolie Mincak, Caroline O'Hagen, and Tobin Zeigler.

The restaurant guests also joined in singing Christmas carols at every restaurant. The Village of Bronxville was full of song and good cheer.
