Dec. 13, 2023: On September 1, 2021, the remnants of Hurricane Ida, a Category 4 hurricane, swept through Bronxville with torrential rain and wind.

Among the casualties of the Hurricane was the Bronx River wooden footbridge, which was swept away.  This bridge is near the Bronx River path entrance in Bronxville and enables walkers and runners to make a full loop around the duck pond in the center.

We are happy to report that the new replacement bridge (shown at the top of this page) is now up and running.  This is great news for all who want to take a lovely run or stroll in the park!
