August 1, 2021, HUNGER DOES NOT TAKE A VACATION! FOOD DRIVE! While most of us are packing for the beach or already playing in the mountains, many area residents continue to experience food insecurity. Christ Church on Sagamore Road invites our neighbors and friends to generously donate groceries from a preferred list (pasta, rice, canned tuna or sausages, Cheerios and Special K cereals, and shelf-stabilized milk) for our monthly Food Drive on Sunday, August 1. The front and side doors to the Christ Church entrance are open throughout this week to receive your kind gifts, which will be delivered next week to St. James Church in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx. Thank you! Enjoy your vacation, and please help others stay healthy and well at home.
