May 19, 2021: If one of your fondest wishes is to have a sweet and loving forever friend, then get excited because wishes sometimes do come true.
Ranger is a one-year-old Labrador retriever mix who is an absolute sweetheart despite his apparent neglectful beginnings.
This 76-pound boy was found as a stray. He lived off of the generosity of good Samaritans in a neighborhood who fed him and allowed him to take refuge in their garages. After a few weeks, he was finally rescued and has turned out to be one of the friendliest dogs you will ever meet.
This smart and well-mannered guy quickly learned his name and has already mastered how to sit, stay, and come. He is wonderful on a leash especially considering he has had no previous formal training. He is very respectful of his foster family and is great with other dogs and cats. He is also very gentle with the baby chicks living in his foster home. Ranger does not jump on anyone and is always excited for a car ride to the park to meet new doggy friends.
Ranger would do well in a home where he is part of the family and able to go on adventures because he truly just likes to have fun. He is totally housebroken and has never had one accident in the house since being in foster care. Ranger is non-destructive and can be trusted in a home uncrated. He does, however, enjoy retiring to his crate when he wants to take a little snooze.
Ranger's favorite things are moose paddles and deer antlers, and most of the time, you will find him entertaining himself and contently chewing on one of those goodies. He is both easy and loving, but mostly he is just a big old ham of a dog.
Ranger is already neutered, up-to-date on all of his vaccinations, current on preventatives, and micro-chipped. He is waiting for his biggest wish of all - a forever loving family to call home.
